TISS is a multi-campus government-financed research university in Mumbai, India. TISS is Asia's oldest institute for professional social work education. The Institute conducts TISSNET for canddiates who wish to apply for the PG programmes in the institute.
Conducting Body: TISS( Tata Institute of Social Sciences) organizes the TISSNET for admissions to 53 post-graduate degree programs managed by the institute.

Selection Procedure:- The selection procedure consists of three stages:-

NET (National Entrance Test)

PIT (Pre-Interview Test)
-
PI (Personal Interview).
Exam Pattern:
NET (National Entrance Test): The exam is held online and consists of 100 objective type questions with a total time duration of 1 hour and 40 minutes. The detailed exam pattern is as follows:-

PIT/ GD (Pre-Interview Test)/ (Group Discussion):- The candidates who are shortlisted will be called for the next stage of the selection process that is, the Pre-Interview Test. PIT consists of a written test. Group Discussions will take place for some programs also. This round is worth 50 marks.

Personal Interview:- The applicants will finally have to appear for the Personal Interview. This interview is worth 75 marks.
Final Selection:- The final selection of the applicants will depend upon his/her overall performance in all three stages. The weightage is given :

Ques 1. Which languages are available in the TISSNET question paper?
Ans. TISSNET MBA 2020 question paper will be available only in the English language.
Ques 2. What are the eligibility guidelines for applying for the exam?
Ans. Applicants having a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years span or its equivalent ( under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study or any other pattern meeting the mandatory requirements of 15 years formal education) from a recognized university are likely to apply. At the time of applying applicants studying in a 3-year degree program should have qualified in all the subjects from the 1st to 4th semesters and candidates studying in a 4-year degree program should have qualified in all the subjects from 1st to 6th semester. Only those Applicants who will be able to finish all the requirements of their final year Bachelor's Degree examinations by June 8, 2020, are eligible to apply.
Note- Apart from this, it would be advisable for a candidate to check program-specific acceptability criteria before applying to any program.
Ques 3. Does TISS follow the policy of reservation?
Ans. Yes, it provides 15%, 7.5% and 27% reservation to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes (non-creamy layer) for each of the programmes.
Ques 4. How many courses are conducted by TISS?
Ans. The institute provides 53 programs across four campuses and other study centres.
Ques 5. How many courses can one student apply for the exam?
Ans. Applicants can apply for a maximum of three courses across two campuses.
Ques 6. Can I apply for TISS, I want to do an MBA?
Ans. You can apply for its management related known as M.A. in Human Resource and Labour Relations.
Ques 7. How many seats are available in TISS?
Ans. It ranges from 26 to 60 in each programme.

Ans. Only one common link for all courses.
Ques 9. Which exam scores are allowed by TISS?
Ans. TISS accepts only TISSNET scores. The result of exams like / CET / GRE / CAT / MAT/ GMAT is not acceptable.

Ans. It depends on the entrance exam, personal interview test or essay writing, and interview.
