Tripura Teachers Eligibility Test is organized by the Teacher’s Recruitment of Board, Tripura. The aim of this exam is to hire eligible aspirants for the posts of Primary Teacher & Upper Primary Teachers. The primary teacher is employed for classes 1 to 5 and Upper Primary for classes 6 to 8. This exam offers a good chance for interested and eligible aspirants to make their careers as teachers in the schools of Tripura.
Tripura Teachers Eligibility Test Conducting Body:
Government of Tripura comprising the Teachers’ Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT) to organise the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for the selection of applicants at elementary level (for classes I to VIII) as well as for the Selection of Graduate Teachers (for classes IX,X) and Selection Test of Post Graduate Teachers (for classes XI,XII) for the recruitment of teachers. Teachers’ Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT) is positioned in the same establishment of the Kunjaban,State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Agartala and operates throughout the state of Tripura. The Board operates with the Chairman, three Members, Member Secretary, Controller of Examinations, and other office staff.

Tripura Teachers Eligibility Test Selection Procedure:
Applicants will be shortlisted from the score secured in the Tripura TET 2019. The merit list is prepared based on the category wise cut off marks. MCQ's are asked in the exam. Each question is one mark and there is no negative marking. There are two papers in the exam i.e. Paper I and Paper II in which 150 questions. Candidates have to complete the exam in 1 and a half hours.

Tripura Teachers Eligibility Test Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
The candidates should pass the upper Secondary examination with at least 50 marks.
There is a relaxation of 45 marks if the candidates belong to a reserved class.
1.Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum 50% score and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED)
OR
2.Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum 50% result and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.ED).
OR
3. Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum 50% score and having a Diploma in Education (Special Education), approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India(RCI).
OR
4. Two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED) or Graduation.
Age Criteria: Applicants should be at least 18 to a maximum of 30 years.

Mathematics: Numbers, Geometry,Algebra, Mensuration, Arithmetic, Shapes and Spatial Understanding
Language I: Perception-based questions for language development
Language II (English): Understanding based question in English and advancement of language

Ques 8. If I clear Tripura TET and still in my final year of Bachelor's Degree, am I eligible to apply?
Ans: Applicants who are appearing in the final year of Bachelor Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education etc. are temporarily admitted and their Tripura TET Certificate shall be confirmed only on passing the aforesaid Examinations.
Ques 9. What type of question can I expect in the Paper-II of the Tripura TET exam?
Ans: The questions in the tests for Paper II will be based on the subjects of the prescribed syllabus of the Tripura State for classes VI-VIII but the difficulty standard could be up to the senior secondary stage.
