The examination is conducted in Online mode and contains MCQ type questions. The question paper is set in English and Telugu/Urdu Language. The paper is divided into 3 sections namely Physics, Mathematics/Biology, and Chemistry. The total no. of questions are 160. The total time duration of the examination is 03 hours. The exam pattern in detail is as follows:

- Age Limit:-

No upper age limit but lower age limit vary as per the applied course. Candidates are advised to refer to the website regarding the same.
The lower age limit for the B.Tech course is 16 years.

- Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have passed 12th or equivalent with Chemistry and Physics along with Mathematics/Biology as compulsory subjects.
Candidates must have a minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 (40% for Reserved category) taken together.
Candidates appearing in the 10+2 examination are also eligible to apply.

- Domicile:

Candidates belonging to Andhra Pradesh must possess a Domicile certificate. The requirements of Non - Local/Local status is laid down by regulations of Admission in the Telangana/Andhra Pradesh.

- Nationality:

Only Indian citizens are eligible to apply.
OCI/PIO cardholders are also eligible to apply for the test.
