Overview
Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test is organized by the State Government. The aim of this exam is to hire eligible and desiring applicants for the posts of teachers in lower primary (Class I to V) and upper primary (Class VI to VIII) in govt and privately managed schools in the state. This test is organized as per the guidelines set down by NCTE for teaching eligibility in India. This exam offers a good chance for aspiring applicants to become teachers in the schools of Chhattisgarh.

Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test Selection Procedure:
Applicants will be shortlisted from the score secured in the Chhattisgarh TET 2019. The final list is prepared based on the category wise cut off marks. Multiple choice type questions are asked in the exam. Each question is for one mark and there is no negative marking. There are two papers in the exam i.e. Paper I and Paper II in which 150 questions are asked. Candidates have to complete the exam in 1 and a half hours

Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
The candidates should pass the upper Secondary examination with at least 50 marks.
It is a relaxation of 45 marks if the applicants belong to a reserved class.
1. Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum 50% score and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED)
OR
2.Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum 50% result and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.ED).
OR
3. Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum 50% score and having a Diploma in Education (Special Education), approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India(RCI).
OR
4. 2year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED) or Graduation.
Age Criteria: Candidates should be at least 18 to a maximum of 30 years.

Language II (English): Understanding based question in English and advancement of language
Social Sciences/Social Studies: Social and Political Life Geography,History etc.

Ques 1. Is the passing certificate of the Chhattisgarh TET, an assurance that I will be appointed as a teacher?
Ans: This exam will only be a criterion to qualify for the appointment as a teacher. It should not be viewed as an appointment order for the post of teachers.
Ques 2. I have a D.Ed (Special Education) certificate. Do I get to start taking classes after getting an appointment letter?
Ans: No, a person with D.Ed (Special Education) or B.Ed. (Special Education) shall have to undergo, a six month Special Program in Elementary Education recognized by NCTE after the appointment.
Ques 3. Is there any relaxation in the qualifying marks for ST/SC?
Ans: SC/ST/OBC/Differently Abled Category applicants have the advantage of 5% relaxation in marks.

Ans. The criteria for considering pass in Chhattisgarh TET is as follows:
a) OC 60% Marks and above
b) BC 50% Marks and above
c) SC 40% Marks and above

Ans: Yes you are eligible. The applicants who has Senior Secondary / Higher Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum of 50% marks and has finished a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED) can apply.
Ques 9. If I clear Chhattisgarh TET and still in my final year of Bachelor's Degree, am I eligible to apply?
Ans: Candidates who are appearing in the final year of Bachelor's Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education etc. are temporarily admitted and their Chhattisgarh TET Certificate shall be confirmed only on passing the aforesaid Examinations.

Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test Admit Card
The Chattisgarh TET releases the admit cards for the exam in Online mode. The link of the admit cards are sent to the registered emails and mobile numbers of the candidates. The admit card is a mandatory document for the test and the candidate must carry it to the exam center along with an I.D proof such as Driving License, Voter Card, PAN Card, Aadhar Card.
