Overview
Haryana Staff Selection Commission (earlier Subordinate Services Selection Board) was constituted in 28.01.1970 conducts the examinations/interviews for appointments to Group ‘C’ services, and may be called up on to conduct examination/interview for appointment to Group ‘B’ and ‘D’ services if required by the state Government. Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC), Panchkula conducts a Sub Inspector exam to recruit dynamic candidates in the Police department of Haryana. HSSC Sub Inspector Exam Conducting Body:
The SI exam is a state level exam conducted by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission. The exam is conducted in offline mode and the candidates who wish to appear for HSSC must qualify the Offline exam. Candidates who qualify offline exam will be called for Physical test. The exam is conducted once in two years.

HSSC Sub Inspector Exam Selection Procedure:

HSSC Sub Inspector Exam Pattern:
The exam is conducted in offline mode. The questions are objective type and the total time duration for the exam is 90 minutes. The questions consist of General Knowledge, Numerical Aptitude, Reasoning, General English, Computer, Hindi Grammar, and Haryana History. The total no. of questions are 100 and each question carries 0.80 marks.

Age limit: The age limit is 21 years to 42 years as per their class 10th. The age relaxation to the SC/ST/OBC candidates is given as per government rules.
