The selection process of the exam is on the basis of given following rounds:

The Indian Navy Sailor Matric Recruit exam is an OMR sheet based exam of 30 minutes duration, consists 60 MCQs asked from the following sections:

Note: To qualify for the exam, the candidates are required to secure a minimum of 40% marks in each section.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

Candidates who qualify the written exam are called for the PFT. The centre for the PFT is decided by the Selection Board only. Candidates are informed about the PFT through SMS or email so they must make sure to not change their contact number or email. The PFT consists of the following rounds:-

  • 1.6 Km running in 7 minutes.

  • 20 squats (Uthak-Baithak)

  • 10 Push-ups
