JEE Advanced (Joint Entrance Examination Advanced) is a national-level entrance exam to provide admissions into programmes managed by the IITs in India. This examination is held with the aim to select suitable applicants for admissions to the Bachelor's, Integrated Master's and Dual Degree programs (entry at the 10+2 level) in all the IITs. Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) is held separately after JEE Advanced.

Conducting Body: The Joint Entrance Examination Advanced is held by the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. The exam is conducted for the admissions in the various B.E./B.Tech. courses in IITs, NITs, IIITs and CFTIs. JEE examination is held in two phases i.e. JEE-Mains & JEE-Advanced. The following detail is regarding JEE Advanced.

Selection Procedure: The selection procedure is done through the following stage:

• Written Test

Exam Pattern:- The JEE-Advanced examination consists of two papers:- Paper-1 and Paper-2, each with a time duration of 3 hours. Both the papers are compulsory and contain MCQ or Numerical Type Questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The total number of questions and hence the total maximum marks for the papers are not fixed. The question papers are in English and Hindi languages. The expected marks scheme for the examination is given:

Paper-2: consists of 10 sets of questions. The marking scheme of the Paper-2 is as follows:

JEE Advanced Architecture Aptitude Test-AAT:

JEE Advanced Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) is the entrance examination held for the admissions in the B.Arch courses into the participating IITs. Separate admit cards are not issued for the JEE Advanced-AAT. AAT is held separately after the JEE Advanced exam.

Exam Pattern:- The examination is held in Offline mode. The question paper of AAT is available only in the English Language. The applicants need to bring their own sketching, colour box, and other drawing equipment. The paper cover questions from Freehand drawing, Geometrical Drawing, 3D perception, Imagination & Aesthetic Sensitivity and Architectural awareness.

Final Selection:- Applicants who will qualify the JEE Mains & Advanced are asked to register for Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSSA) and allotment is done according to the candidate’s secured rank, preferences made and availability of seat.

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) - Advanced Application Process

The application form can be filled in Online mode. Candidates desirous to apply for the test can apply in Online mode from the official website. Following are the steps to apply that must be followed while filling the form:

• Registration: Candidates are required to visit the website and register themselves for the test. In this process, some basic information is asked. After providing these pieces of information candidates must click on the Register button.

• Verification: Once the registration button is clicked, an email is sent on the provided i.d to verify. The registration process is completed only after verification.

• Application Form Filling: After verification, Candidates can fill the application form through their provided LoginI.d and Password. 

• Uploading Documents: In this step, candidates are asked to upload the scanned copies of their documents. The candidates must submit all the required documents.
