Manohar Lal Khattar, Haryana Chief Minister, has announced that the state govt will provide free education to the students belonging to families with annual income less than Rs. 1.80 lakh.



CM said that the govt wants to make sure that no talented student belonging to a poor or disadvantaged family should lose the opportunity to pursue his/ her dreams.



The Govt, under the ambitious Parivar Pehchan Patra (family id) scheme, will provide free of cost education to the students whose verified family income is less than Rs.1.80 lakh per annum, he informed.



Chief Minister Khattar announced this extraordinary decision while interacting with students who have been shortlisted under the Civil Services 2020 and JEE Advanced 2021 exams through Haryana's 'Super 100 Programme'. The 'Super 100 Programme' of the Haryana govt is a state-level felicitation programme conducted at Panchkula.



Education Minister Kanwar Pal, Ambala MP Rattan Lal Kataria, and Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gian Chand Gupta were also present on the occasion.



Khattar also informed that the institutions are being set up according to the NEP (New Education Policy) 2020 in the state wherein education will be granted to the students from KG to PostGraduate levels.



Kurukshetra University has commenced the preparation for admission under the 'KG to PG Scheme' from the academic session 2021-22, he added.
