Karnataka State Eligibility Test Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:

Applicants who have secured at least 55% of marks (without rounding off) for general category and 50% for Schedule Category (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), person withDisability (PWD), OBCs [CatI, IIA, IIB, IIIA, and IIIB], in Master Degree OR an equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC New Delhi, in the subjects opted for KSET.

Aspirants who are in their Master's Degree or equivalent course or applicants who have finished their Master Degree (FinalYear) examination and whose result is still expected or applicants whose qualifying exam have been held may also apply for this test. Nevertheless, such applicants will be allowed temporarily and for those who clear the KSET, qualification certificate will be allotted only on production of documentation for having passed the Master degree or equivalent exam securing noless than 55% marks (50% in case of SC, ST, OBC [Cat- I, IIA, IIB, IIIA, IIIB] and PWD candidates) within two years from the day of KSET result, missing which they will be entertained as invalidated.

Applicants shall appear for KSET in their appropriate subject of their post graduation exclusively, in the specific event if thecandidate does not find the subject of his/her post graduation in the table of KSET subjects, the applicant may appear in UGC-NET / UGC-CSIR NET which is held twice a year.

Candidates other than the general category are required to mention their reservation status in the online application form. Candidates may note that they should satisfy the eligibility conditions and they are required to submit attested copies of documents such as SSLC marks card, postgraduate degree marks cards, category documents, and documents related to PWD enclosed with their application. The applicant should present the category documents on or before the latest date for providing the hard copy of the application form and the document should be given by the competent officials and such document should be issued after 1st July 2017. In the event of their ineligibility is recognized due to an invalid document by the KSET agency at any stage, their candidature will be revoked without former notice and they shall be likely for legal action.

OBCs (SC, ST & Other Backward Classes) category applicants appear for KSET other than Karnataka State shall apply under General Category (GM) only.

Candidates should note that their candidature is temporary. The only reason that admission to the exam will not imply that the KSET center has finally allowed his/her candidature. Applicants may record that candidature will be considered final onlyupon accomplishing the eligibility conditions.

An applicant who became eligible in Previous KSETs is not eligible to apply again in the same subject. If any applicant found to be qualified in prior KSET tests and repeating on the same subject in current KSET, their candidature will be eliminatedand the previous acceptability is withdrawn through de-notification.
Age limit:
There is no upper age limit to apply.
