National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) FAQs:
Ques 1. How can a candidate apply for the NTSE?
Ans. A candidate can apply Offline as well as Online for the exam. The application form can be downloaded from the official website or can be obtained from the school or the state liaison officer.
Ques 2. Is it necessary to fill the application form separately for the stages?
Ans. Since NTSE is a one-step application submission process, there is no need to apply for the stage 2 exam separately.
Ques 3. Can a candidate edit the application form after submission?
Ans. No, it can't be done once the form is submitted and the application fee is paid.
Ques 4. Does NTSE send the admit card to the communication address which is mentioned on the application form?
Ans. The admit cards for NTSE are issued in both modes i.e. Online as well as Offline. Online admit cards can be downloaded from the website whereas Offline admit cards can be obtained from the school.
Ques 5. What are the documents a candidate needs with the admit card for the exam?
Ans. A Photo ID along with the admit card must be carried for the exam.
Ques 6. Is there any percentage requirement to apply for the test?
Ans. Candidates having Indian nationality but studying abroad must have scored 60 % in 9th standard.
Ques 7. Is there negative marking in the exam?
Ans. There is no such negative marking.
Ques 8. Is NTSE exam conducted online or offline?
Ans. The exam is conducted in Offline mode.
Ques 9. Which category is exempted from payment of examination fee?
Ans. State Liaison Officer of respective states decides the application fee and mentions the same in the application form which means different states having different fees.
Ques 10. Can the NTSE application be filled in offline mode?
Ans. The application form can be filled in both modes i.e. Offline as well as Online mode.
Ques 11. Does NTSE exam has sectional cut-offs?
Ans. No, there is no sectional cutoff in the exam.
Ques 12. Can a student reappearing for class 10 exams apply for NTSE?
Ans. A candidate must be appearing for the first time in the 10th class exam and there is only one attempt for the test.
