Education Qualification:

Required Eligibility varies according to the Subject for which teacher required and is as follow:

English:

Should have a legitimate bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with Optional English having studied in every year of graduation

Should have a teaching subject of English in BEd.

Hindi:

Graduate with Hindi as a subject;

B.Ed with the teaching of Hindi in B.Ed.

Maths:

Mathematics graduates should have maths as one of the elective subjects in Graduation.

OR

B.A With Mathematics and Physics Course with Senior Basic trained or B.T. or B.Ed.

Punjabi:

Punjabi as a subject and Graduate from a recognized university with B.Ed with the teaching of Punjabi in B.Ed.

Science:

Graduate of recognized University with B.T. or B.Ed.;

OR

B.Sc. with B.T. or B.Ed. Senior Basic Trained with any 2 of the 4 B.Sc. subjects namely, Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology.

Social Studies:

B.A with all the subjects which are approved by the Government from time to time with B.T. or B.Ed.

OR

Senior Basic Trained (Including Service of D.P. Ed. and B.P.Ed. as Master/Mistress with at least three years actual education experience)

Should have followed the Guidelines of National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE).

Age Limit

The minimum Age needed to Practicing for the Post is prescribed as 18 years.

Maximum Age allowed ranges according to the Category from which a candidate applies, and in the following pattern:
