Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) exam is organized by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC). The aim of this exam is to recruit eligible aspirants for numerous posts in the Ministries and departments in the Government of Rajasthan. The exam is organized yearly. The exam is held in three phases-

Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) Exam Pattern:-
Preliminary Exam:- The preliminary examination is of qualifying nature and is held offline. The examination paper comprises of 150 questions. There is a provision of negative marking. 1/3rd of the total mark should be deducted.

Mains Exam:- The candidates who are shortlisted from the preliminary the examination are allowed to sit for the mains examination.

Interview:- The candidates who are shortlisted from the mains examinations are called for the interviews to judge their mental ability, decision making and their suitability for the service.

Ques 1. From where can an applicant get the information regarding the exam?
Ans. An applicant can get the information from the official website.
Ques 2. How can an applicant apply for Rajasthan PCS?
Ans. A candidate can apply for a post Online through the official site.
Ques 3. Is RAS exam held every year?
Ans. The RAS exam is held every year by Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC).
Ques 4. What are the consequences faced by a candidate in case he visits the examination centre without valid photo i.d?
Ans. There is a provision of disqualification for such cases.
Ques 5. How can candidates pay the application fee?
Ans. By online through Credit/ Debit card & Net banking.

Ans. After verifying the OTR process, the editing in the application can be made.

Ans. The format should be 'jpg' format and the size of the scanned photo and signature must not be more than 50kb to 100kb.

Ans. Yes, final year student are eligible to apply for the exam.
Ques 10. Is there any provision of negative marking?
Ans. Yes. 1/3rd of the total allotted mark to that question gets deducted on each wrong answer.

Ans. No.
Ques 12. How many papers are there in RAS Mains?
Ans. There are total four papers out of which 3 are General Study and the 4th Paper is of General Hindi and General English.
Ques 13.How many attempts does a candidate get for RAS?
Ans. There is no such limit on attempts but the age criteria must be followed.
Ques 14. Can other state candidates apply for RAS?
Ans. Yes, the candidates from other states are eligible to apply for the exam but there won't be any advantage of reservation for them.
