Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test Selection Procedure:-

The Rajasthan Teachers Eligibility Test is held in two-stage:

  • Written test

  • Interview

Written Test:- It is an Offline test. The total questions are  150 and the total marks are 150. The duration is 90 minutes for each part to complete the exam. The exam is Objective and Multiple Choice Type. There is no Negative Marking.

Interview:- The applicants who qualify the online examination are called for the Interview. 

Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test Eligibility Criteria:

Age: Minimum 18 years.

Educational Qualification:

  • An intermediate examination from a recognised board with minimum of 45% marks.

  • Diploma in Teacher Education from any recognised Teacher Training Institute.

  • Bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of 50% marks.

  • Candidates waiting for the B.Ed exam result can also apply for the RTET.

For Classes I-V (Paper I):

  • Senior Secondary with minimum 45% marks.

  • Candidates pursuing a final 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education/ 2- year Diploma in Special Education/ 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education(B.EI.Ed.) are also eligible to apply for RTET.

OR

  • Candidates with minimum of 50% in B.Sc./BA and B.Ed degree.

For Classes VI-VIII (Paper-II):

  • Having B.Sc/BA and appearing or cleared final 2 years B.A./ D.Ed./ B.Sc. with the 45% marks.

  • Appearing in Senior Secondary/ B.Ed/ with minimum 50% marks and cleared or appearing in 4-year BA/ B.Sc.Ed.

OR

  • A (Ed.)/ B.Sc (Ed.) final 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)/ B.Ed. (Special Education) with 50% in BA or B.Sc.

Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test FAQs:

Ques 1. If I clear Rajasthan TET and still in my final year of Bachelor's Degree, am I eligible to apply? 

Ans: Candidates who are appearing in the final year of Bachelor's Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education etc. are temporarily admitted and their Rajasthan TET Certificate shall be confirmed only on passing the aforesaid Examinations.

Ques 2. I have done my BA with 48% and BEd with 70%. Am I eligible for the  Rajasthan TET? 

Ans. Yes, you are eligible. Applicants having B.Sc/BA and appearing or cleared final 2 years B.A./ D.Ed./ B.Sc. with the 45% marks and candidate appearing in Senior Secondary/ B.Ed/ with minimum 50% marks and cleared or appearing in 4-year BA/ B.Sc.Ed is eligible. 

Ques 3. What are the minimum marks to qualify?

Ans. The criteria for considering pass in Rajasthan TET is as follows:

a) OC 60% Marks and above

b) BC 50% Marks and above

c) SC 40% Marks and above

d) ST 40% Marks and above

e) Differently-abled (PH) 40% Marks and above

Ques 4. Is a B.Com B.Ed student eligible for the Rajasthan TET?

Ans: If you have 4 years of Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.ED) degree than you are eligible for Rajasthan TET.

Ques 5. Is there any relaxation in the qualifying marks for ST/SC?

Ans: Sc/ST/OBC/Differently Abled Category candidates have the advantage of 5% relaxation in marks.

Ques 6. I am from Goa, am I eligible to apply for Rajasthan TET? 

Ans. No, only permanent residents from Rajasthan are eligible to appear for TET. 

Ques 7. Can I edit my application form after the submission?

Ans. Yes, there is a provision of application correction which is notified through a circular. The time &date completely depend on the official authority who conducts the exam.

Ques 8. Can a BCA student apply for Rajasthan TET?

Ans. No, besides graduation, the candidates must also have done B.Ed/B.El.Ed from a recognized university.

Ques 9. I have done a diploma in elementary education may I eligible for secondary teacher exam?

Ans: Yes you are eligible. The applicants who has Senior Secondary / Higher Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum of 50% marks and has finished a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED) can apply.
