About RBI Assistant

India's Central Banking institution, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) controls the Issuance and Supply of the Indian Rupee. The RBI has an important role in the Development Strategy of the Government of India. The bank also actively promotes Financial Inclusion Policy. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) held the RBI Assistant Examination to recruit young professionals for the post of Assistant in its various branches.

Also known as Banker's bank, Reserve Bank of India is a Central Banking Institution which commenced it's operations on 1 April 1935 under Reserve Bank of India Act 1934. Throughout the year RBI held various exams for various posts for desiring applicants who want to pursue their career in Banking sector. The following mentioned detail is regarding RBI Assistant Examination which is held  on yearly basis.

Selection Procedure:-

The RBI Assistant Examination is held in three stages-

  • Preliminary Examination

  • Mains Examination

  • Interview

Exam Pattern:

Preliminary Examination:- The RBI Assistant Preliminary Examination is an Offline examination which is held to test the intellect, aptitude, and standard of English language of the applicants.Total time duration of the exam is 01 hour and there is no sectional time limit. The Paper pattern of the Prelims exam is as follows:-

Mains Examination:-The Mains exam have 5 sections and a total of 200 questions. The total time duration will be 135 minutes, but each section needs to be completed in a specific time duration. Applicants are required to complete their questions in the prescribed time interval.

Interview:- The shortlisted applicants from the Online Test are called for the Personal Interview. The Interview carries 35 marks.

Final Selection:- The final selection of the applicants is dependent on their overall performance of the mains and the interview phases. The merit list is prepared on the basis of these two portions.

  • Educational Qualification:- Graduation in any discipline with an aggregate of 50% (Passing marks for SC/ST/PWD) and above

RBI Assistant Application Process

The application form can be filled in Online mode only. Candidates desirous to apply for the test can apply in Online mode from the official website. Following are the steps to apply that must be followed while filling the form:

  • Registration: Candidates are required to visit the website and register themselves for the test. In this process, some basic information are asked. After providing this information candidates must click on the Register button.

  • Verification: Once the registration button is clicked, an email is sent on the provided i.d to verify. The registration process is completed only after verification.

  • Application Form Filling: After verification, Candidates can fill the application form through their provided LoginI.d and Password. 

  • Uploading Documents: In this step, candidates are asked to upload the scanned copies of their documents. The candidates must submit all the required documents.

  • Payment of application fee: The last step is the payment and to apply successfully candidates must make the payment. The payment can be made in online mode.

RBI Assistant Admit Card

The RBI releases the admit cards for the exam in Online mode. The link of the admit cards are sent to the registered emails and mobile numbers of the candidates. Separate admit cards are issued for both the tests. The admit card is a mandatory document for the test and the candidate must carry it to the exam center along with an I.D proof such as Driving License, Voter Card, PAN Card, Aadhar Card.
