SSC JHT (Junior Hindi Translator) examination in Subordinate Offices / Ministry of Defence / Central Hindi Training Institute is organized by SSC or Staff Selection Commission. The aim of this exam is to recruit eligible and desiring applicants for the posts of Junior Hindi Translators, Senior/Junior Translators under Defence Ministry, Hindi Pradhyapak in Central Hindi Training Institute. Written Examination: The written examination consist of two papers of a total time duration of 2 hours each. The first paper is a Computer based test having Objective type question and the second paper is a Subjective type paper having questions related to Translation and Essay writing. The exam pattern is as follows:

Note:- There is a provision of Negative Marking in the first paper. 0.25 marks from the total allotted mark to that question get deducted for each wrong response.

Required:

• Master' Degree from a recognised University in Hindi or English  as a compulsory or elective subject .

• Master's Degree from a recognised University in any subject except Hindi or English as a compulsory or elective subject.

• Master's Degree from a recognised University in any subject except Hindi or English with Hindi and English as either compulsory or elective subject or either of the two as a medium of examination at degree level.

• Master's degree from a recognised University in Hindi or English with English or Hindi as a compulsory

• Bachelor's degree with Hindi and English as main subjects (either compulsory or elective)

• Certificate Course in Translation from English to Hindi or two years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and English to Hindi in Central or State Government Offices including Government of India Undertakings.

• Bachelor's degree in Hindi with English as one of the subject at degree level either compulsory or optional from a recognised University plus Masters degree in any subject from a recognised University plus Bachelor of Education from a recognised University/Institute Or

• Bachelor's degree in any subject from a recognised University plus a Master's degree in Hindi with English as one of the subjects at degree level either compulsory or optional plus Bachelor of Education from a recognised University/Institute.
  

Desirable:

• Two years experience - Teaching Hindi at Senior Secondary level under  Central or State Government or  Educational Institutions.

Note-I:

• The Degree obtained through Open Universities/ Distance Education Mode must be recognised by Distance Education Council, IGNOU.

• If mentioned degree have been recognised at the period when the candidate acquired the relevant qualification, he/she is accepted for the purpose of Educational Qualification.

Note-II: 

• Candidates who have not acquired yet but will acquire the educational qualification are also eligible. They must acquire documentary evidence from the Board/University in support.

SSC JHT (Junior Hindi Translator) Application Process:

The application form can only be filled in online mode. Applicants who are eager to apply for the test can apply in online mode through the official website. The applicants must fill the application form correctly, as sometimes there is no provision of correcting the application form after the submission. To apply for the exam the applicants are required to have a mobile number, date of birth, and an email id. The steps required to follow while filling the form are as follows:

• Go to the official website and after that click on Apply Online.

• Then click on the New Registration in the application page and then click on the register button of the page.

• Applicant is now required to fill the form and provide some basic information like the applicant’s name, parent’s name, date of birth, mobile number, email id etc.

• Now, the applicant must click on the submit button to submit the online registration form. All the applicants will be issued with a registration ID for the exam.

• So, now the applicant is required to login with the provided registration ID, date of birth, and password to complete the registration process.

• Now the applicant is required to upload a photograph and signature. The photo must be of white color or light color background. The least photograph resolution required is 100 by 120 pixels in WH. The signature should be only in blue or black ink on a white sheet. The scanned copy of the applicant’s signature should be in jpg format.

• Now the applicant must login with the registered ID and password to complete the part 2 of the application form.

• After filling the application form the applicant must preview the entire application form to look for any mistakes.

• Now click on the Final Submit button to complete the online application form. 

• The last step is the payment of the application fee for the exam. The applicant must make the payment to apply successfully. The payment can be made in online mode or as suggested by the organization.

• After the payment is made the applicant must submit the application form to complete the online application form process. The applicant must keep a printout of the application form for future use.
