Overview

UPTET is organized by the UPBEB (Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board). It is state level test. The exam is held for the employment of eligible applicants for the posts of Primary and Upper Primary Level teachers in various schools of Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UP-TET) Conducting Body: 

UP Teacher Eligibility Test is held by Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) once in a year for the selection of Primary and Junior Teachers in Uttar Pradesh. UPTET written exam contains two papers: Paper I - for primary level teachers Paper II for Junior level teachers .

Educational Qualification:

The candidates should pass the upper Secondary examination with at least 50 marks.

It is a relaxation of 45 marks if the applicants belong to a reserved class.

1. Senior Secondary/ Higher Secondary(or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum 50% score and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED)

2.Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum 50% result and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.ED).

OR

3. Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum 50% score and having a Diploma in Education (Special Education), approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India(RCI)

4. 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED) or Graduation.

Ques 1. What is the valid period of the Uttar Pradesh TET passing certificate?

Ans: The valid period of the Uttar PradeshTET qualifying certificate is seven years for all the categories.  

Ques 2. What is the number of attempts I can appear for the exam?

Ans: There is no limitation on the number of trials a person can take to pass Uttar PradeshTET. A person who has qualified Uttar Pradesh TET may also reappear for improving his/her score.

• SC / ST male and female-42 years.

Ans: Applicants who are appearing in the final year of Bachelor Degree in Education are temporarily admitted and their UPTET Certificate shall be confirmed only on passing the aforesaid Examinations.

Ques 7. Is there any relaxation in the qualifying marks for SC/ST?

Ans: Sc/ST/OBC/Differently Abled Category applicants have the advantage of 5% relaxation in marks.

The application form can be filled in Online mode only. Candidates desirous to apply for the test can apply in Online mode from the official website. Following are the steps to apply that must be followed while filling the form:

• Registration: Candidates are required to visit the website and register themselves for the test. In this process, some basic information are asked. After providing this information candidates must click on the Register button.

• Verification: Once the registration button is clicked, an email is sent on the provided i.d to verify. The registration process is completed only after verification.

• Application Form Filling: After verification, Candidates can fill the application form through their provided LoginI.d and Password. 

• Uploading Documents: In this step, candidates are asked to upload the scanned copies of their documents. The candidates must submit all the required documents.

• Payment of application fee: The last step is the payment and to apply successfully candidates must make the payment. The payment can be made in online mode.

The UPTET releases the admit cards for the exam in Online mode. The link of the admit cards are sent to the registered emails and mobile numbers of the candidates. The admit card is a mandatory document for the test and the candidate must carry it to the exam center along with an I.D proof such as Driving License, Voter Card, PAN Card, Aadhar Card.
