Ques 1. Is HPS or HCS (Haryana Civil Service) easy?
Ans. The test is easy and depends on the kind of practice you do. Writing practice is essential. The questions are straight forward.
Ques 2. How can I prepare for Haryana civil services?
Ans. From 2018, Haryana Civil services is a three-stage selection process, as Prelims - 2 paper (General Studies and Aptitude Test of 100 marks each), Mains - 5 papers (General Studies, English, Hindi, Subject 1 and Subject 2) Personality Test The only difference in a state PCS is the enhanced focus on the state. The rest of the method is almost similar to the UPSC.
Ques 3. When is Haryana civil services paper held?
Ans. Tentatively the exam is scheduled to be held in October. So students can expect it to be held between October to December.
Ques 4. What is the best study material for the preparation of the Haryana Civil Services Exam?
Ans. The preparation for Haryana Civil Services can be done with the same resources as for the Civil Services Exam.The level of the paper ranges from easy to moderate. The only extra thing you need to do is to study for sources particularly for Haryana GK. In the paper, approximately 30 to 40 questions come are from the state GK.

Ans. Through the HPSC you can get selected to the State Civil Service and State Police Service.
Ques 6. How many more times can I give Haryana Civil Services Examination if I apply for this year and don't pass?
Ans. There are no such restrictions mentioned anywhere by the Haryana Public Service Commission, which means you can appear for the exam until you reach the maximum age limit. The maximum age limit to be eligible for Haryana Civil Service Exam is 40 years.
Ques 7. What is the minimum qualification required to apply to Haryana Civil Service?
Ans. Graduation is the minimum criterion to apply for the Haryana Civil Service exam. Candidates applying for the HSC should have completed his/her graduation from a recognized institute in any subject. The minimum age limit recommended for the HCS exam is 21 years. The maximum age limit is 40 years (except for DSP post). Age relaxation is provided to reserved categories. Only those candidates are selected who clears the written examination followed by personal interview.
Ques 8. Do woman candidates get any relaxation while applying for HCS?
Ans. Unmarried female candidates can apply for HCS. Companions of those Women who have been ordered by civil/criminal courts to pay the allowance to them; women whose husbands have remarried; dowagers; women who are divorced and are legally separated from their husbands; women living separately from their husbands for more than two years because of divorce; wives of serving injured military personnel and widows of those who were executed in action. Women living separately from their partners due to divorce will be required to submit with their application an legal affirmation to the effect that she has been abandoned by her spouse and has been living independently from him for more than 2 years and this affidavit should be authorized by two responsible persons such as members of the Legislature, the Bar Association and the Local Bodies including Panchayats. However, where a woman who has remarried, she would not be eligible for the above concession in the matter of age.
