Overview
AIIMS( All India Institute of Medical Sciences) held an entrance test for admission into the Undergraduate Professional Medical course provide by the AIIMS Institutes across the nation. Being one of the top institutes, AIIMS provides opportunities for medical colleges in the country. Since the AIIMS MBBS exam has been scrapped, the entrance for admissions into AIIMS is conducted through NEET.
NEET( National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is an examination for the aspirants who want to study graduate and postgraduate Medical courses (MBBS, MD, MS) and Dental courses (BDS, MDS) in government or private medical colleges. NEET-UG is a single entrance test for admissions across India.
Conducting Body: Prior to 2019, the test was administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) but is currently conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), which further provides the results to the Directorate General of Health Services at the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Selection Procedure:- The selection of the applicants is done on the basis of their performances in the following section:

Written Test
Exam Pattern:- The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test is conducted Offline and is held for a duration of 3 hours. The questions are of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) type. There are a total of 3 sections namely Physics, Chemistry and Biology and the total no. of questions are 180. 04 marks are awarded for each correct answer. Age Limit:- The age of the candidate shall not be less than 17 years.

Educational Qualifications:- 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology and English with 50% for UR, 45% for PH, 40% for SC/ ST/ OBC.

Ans. No, as per the current exam pattern of NEET, Regional languages are subject to Geographical barriers. Thus, Marathi can be chosen as a medium by candidates of Maharashtra only.
