Banasthali University organizes an Aptitude Test for admission to various programs including B. Tech (CSE/EC/EI/EE/IT/BT/CE/MT), Pharm, M.Sc. (Biotechnology), M.B.A, Design, B. Ed, M.A in Textile Designing, M. Tech (CS/VLSI/IT), M.Phil. and M.A (English)/M.A (Music)/M.A (Drawing & Painting). The entrance exam for admission to UG and PG programs at Banasthali University is organized in the month of June.

The paper is in offline mode. The questions in the entrance exam are MCQs (objective type). The Language of the exam is in English. There are a total of 100 questions from the different sections for B. Tech, M.Sc. Biotechnology, M. Tech, and B.Ed. There is a Personality Inventory Test. 

The exam pattern is given below:

Marking Scheme:

• 1 mark is awarded for each right answer.

• 1/4 marks will be deducted.

-For M. Tech:

Marking Scheme:

• 1 mark is awarded for each right answer.

• 1/4 marks are deducted for an incorrect answer.

Banasthali University Aptitude Test - For B.Tech & M.Tech Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates must have 60% aggregate in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). For SC/ ST candidates the minimum marks are 40% aggregate in class 12th. 

• The Minimum Eligibility for appearing in the Aptitude Test for applicants passing the qualifying examination from Banasthali University is 50% aggregate marks.

Note: The selection is based on the merit of 50% marks in the All India Aptitude Test (comprising of MCQs in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (for B. Tech)/ Biology (only for B. Pharm, Logical Reasoning) and 50% of normalized aggregate percentage in 12th.

The application process is currently open for the test. The application form can be filled in both modes i.e. Online as well as Offline. Candidates desirous to apply for the test can apply in Online mode from the official website or can get the form from the Institute's office. Following are the steps to apply that must be followed while filling the form:

• Registration: Candidates are required to visit the website and register themselves for the test. In this process, some basic information is asked. After providing these pieces of information candidates must click on the Register button.

• Verification: Once the registration button is clicked, an email is sent on the provided i.d to verify. The registration process is completed only after verification.

• Application Form Filling: After verification, Candidates can fill the application form through their provided LoginI.d and Password. 

• Uploading Documents: In this step, candidates are asked to upload the scanned copies of their documents. The candidates must submit all the required documents.

• Payment of application fee: The last step is the payment and to apply successfully candidates must make the payment. The payment can be made in offline mode through Demand Draft.

The candidates, who wish to apply offline, can purchase the form from the institute office after making the required payment.
