Overview
Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology Entrance Exam is also known as CEPT Entrance Exam is the competitive national-level entrance exam conducted by Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology for admissions to it's various UG, PG & P.hD Programs into CEPT. Since the admissions for the Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology are now done through UCEED, the CEPT Entrance Exam is not considered for entrance anymore. The UCEED exam is conducted annually for candidates who wish to apply for the B.Des program.
Conducting Body: The UCEED which is an Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design is a joint entrance examination conducted by the IIT Bombay for providing admissions to deserving candidates to the Undergraduate Design courses offered by the IITs and the various other institutes where UCEED score is considered for admissions.

Selection Procedure: There is only one stage to qualify the UCEED test:

Objective Test
Exam Pattern:- The examination is conducted Online and the total time duration of the exam is 03 hours. A total of 68 questions are asked which is divided into 3 sections: Numerical Answer Type (NAT), Multiple SelectionType (MSQ) and Multiple Choice Type (MCQ). The language of the examination is English only. The paper pattern is as follows:

Sectional Cut-off: There is a system of sectional cut off. The candidate needs to score the minimum cut off in each section to get part in the competition to feature in the final merit list.

- Educational Qualification:

10+2 or equivalent with Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics as their subjects.

Candidates not having Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics as 10+2 subjects are eligible to apply only in IIT Bombay and IIITDM Jabalpur.

Candidate must have appeared in class 12th for the first time in the year of application or the previous year to that.
- No. of attempts: There are only two attempts available to appear in the test. The UCEED score is applicable for One year only.

There is no age limit to apply for the B.Des course in CEPT.
- Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have passed 10+2/10+3 in any stream from any recognized board.

Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply.
Syllabus: (of UCEED)

The drawing skills of candidates are evaluated.

Question is displayed on a computer screen and aspirants need to draw/ write their responses in an answer sheet provided to them.
Numerical Answer Type:

No choices are available. The candidates are asked to respond with the help of a virtual keyboard.

4 marks are given for each correct answer.

- Multiple Select Questions:

There is more than one right answer to each question.

There is no Negative or Partial marking.

4 marks are awarded if all the right responses are marked by the candidate.

Ans. The application form is available online at the official website and candidates can submit the form online only.

Ans. It is valid for only one year.
Ques 6. How many times is the UCEED exam conducted in a year?
Ans. UCEED exam is conducted by IIT Bombay once a year in January.
Ques 7. How long does it take for results declaration?
Ans. The result along with scorecard for UCEED is released typically in the last week of February/ first week of March.
Ques 8. What is the minimum score required to clear the UCEED exam?
Ans. A score of minimum 100 marks in total and at least 10% marks (for candidates belonging to the General category) in each section of the exam is required to be considered in the UCEED rank list.

Ans. Candidates can appear for the UCEED exam two times and that too in consecutive years.
