Overview
Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test, a state-level test and also known as CG PET, is conducted for admissions into various Undergraduate Engineering programmes offered in the state of Chhattisgarh by its participating Institutes/ Colleges. Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test is a state-level entrance exam administered by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board for candidates desirous to continue their study in Chhattisgarh state. The entrance test is conducted annually.
Conducting Body: Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board also known as CPEB conducts Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test which is a state-level entrance exam for candidates desirous to study Undergraduate Engineering programs. The entrance test is conducted in Offline mode. The following mentioned detail is regarding the B.Tech program.

Selection Procedure: There is one stage in the CG PET Entrance exam for candidates to qualify for admissions:

Objective Test
Exam Pattern: The examination is conducted in Offline mode and contains Objective type questions. There are three sections in the exam namely Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics having a total of 150 questions. The question paper is set in the English Language. The total time duration of the examination is 180 minutes. The following table explains the paper pattern in detail:

Candidates must have qualified 12th or equivalent from a recognized board with Physics & Maths as compulsory subjects and Biology/Chemistry/Biotechnology/Technical vocational courses as optional subjects.

Candidates must have qualified Class 12th or equivalent with aggregate 45% marks (40% marks for the Reserved category belonging to Chattisgarh state) in each subject.
