Overview
Department of Biotechnology (DBT) organize a Junior Research Fellowship exam to select candidates for pursuing research in frontier areas of Biotechnology and Life Sciences. Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for Biological Eligibility Test. Candidates having an M.Sc/ M.Tech/ M.VSc in Biotechnology are eligible to appear in this exam. Candidates can apply online for the exam on the official website.
Department of Biotechnology (DBT) Entrance Exam Conducting Body:
The BET is a national level fellowship exam conducted by the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. The exam is conducted in online mode and the candidates who wish to appear for the exam must qualify the Online exam. The exam is conducted once in a year.

Department of Biotechnology (DBT) Entrance Exam Pattern:
The exam is conducted in online mode. The questions are objective type and the total time duration for the exam is 03 hours. The questions consist of General Science, General English, and Subjects relevant to the applied program (Biotechnology).

Department of Biotechnology (DBT) Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria:
Age limit: The upper age limit is 28 years. For Reserved Category, the relaxation is given as per govt. rules and regulations.
Educational Qualification: Candidates having minimum 50% marks in aggregate in Postgraduate (M.SC/ M.Tech/ M.Vsc in Biotechnology) from a recognized university are eligible to apply. The marks relaxation to Reserved Category is given as per govt. rules and regulations.
