Footwear Design and Development Institute All India Selection Test is also known as FDDI AIST is conducted by the Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI). It is a university level examination that is held once in a year for admission of candidates in FDDI and it's 12 other campuses across the nation for courses in Footwear Design & Production, Retail & Fashion Merchandise, Production & Management, Leather Goods and Accessories Design. FDDI AIST is conducted Offline.

Conducting Body: The Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) conducts the Footwear Design and Development Institute All India Selection Test for admissions to the various Graduate and Masters level courses in FDDI and it's 12 other campuses across the country. The following mentioned detail is regarding B.Des Program.

Selection Procedure: There are two stages in FDDI AIST for candidates to qualify for admission:

• Objective Test

• Personal Interview

For B.Des:

Exam Pattern: The examination is conducted in Offline mode and contains Objective Type questions. The question paper comprises four sections namely Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability, General Awareness and Business Aptitude Test (BAT) or Design Aptitude Test (DAT). The total time duration of the examination is 02 hours and 30 minutes. The following table explains the paper pattern in detail:-

• 01 mark is awarded for each correct answer. There is no provision of Negative Marking.

• From section D, Business Aptitude Test is for BDes-RFM and Design Aptitude Test is for Design Programmes (BDes-FDP, BDes-FD & BDes-LGAD).

- Personal Interview: The shortlisted candidates from the Written Test are called for the Personal Interview round. The selection of the candidates is based on the performance in the Written Test as well as the Personal Interview.

• The upper age limit is 25 years for the entrance test.

- Educational Qualification:-

• Candidates must have completed 10+2 in any stream from any recognized board.

• Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply for the test.

The application form can be filled in Online mode. Candidates desirous to apply for the test can apply in Online mode from the official website. Following are the steps to apply that must be followed while filling the form:

• Registration: Candidates are required to visit the website and register themselves for the test. In this process, some basic information is asked. After providing these pieces of information candidates must click on the Register button.

• Verification: Once the registration button is clicked, an email is sent on the provided i.d to verify. The registration process is completed only after verification.

• Application Form Filling: After verification, Candidates can fill the application form through their provided LoginI.d and Password. 

• Uploading Documents: In this step, candidates are asked to upload the scanned copies of their documents. The candidates must submit all the required documents. (Photograph - 90KB; Signature - 30KB)

• Payment of application fee: The last step is the payment and to apply successfully candidates must make the payment.
