A written examination on Environment, GREEN Olympiad is initiated by TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute). The exam is organized for national and international school students studying in class 4th to class 10th. The aim of the test is to make students aware of environmental issues they face on a daily basis so that improvement can be started from the school level. It consists of questions from various issues such as related to Waste, Water, Energy, Agriculture, Air, Urban Landscapes, Biodiversity, Sustainable Development, and Climate Change. . 

GREEN Olympiad Conducting Body: 

The Green Olympiad is conducted by EEA (Environment Education & Awareness Area) of The Energy and Resources Institute. UNESCO, New Delhi also endorses the GREEN Olympiad. The olympiad is also supported by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change; Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti; Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan; Central Board of Secondary Education and various other Trusts & Educational Boards.

GREEN Olympiad Exam Pattern:

The examination is conducted in Offline mode and the questions are Multiple Choice Type Questions. The total time duration of the examination is 02 hours. The exam is conducted in English and Hindi languages. The questions are divided into 03 levels:

• LEVEL 1 - Class 4 and Class 5 students

• LEVEL 2 - Class 6, Class 7 and Class 8 students

• LEVEL 3 - Class 9 and Class 10 students
