Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test, a national level test and also known as IMU CET, is conducted for admissions into Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses offered at Indian Maritime University. Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test is a national level entrance exam administered by Indian Maritime University for candidates desirous to pursue their career in Marine. The entrance test is conducted annually.

Exam Pattern: The examination is conducted in Online mode and contains MCQ type questions. The question paper is set in the English Language. The paper is divided into 6 sections namely Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, English, Aptitude and General Knowledge. The total no. of questions are 200. The total time duration of the exam is 03 hours.  The exam pattern in detail is  as follows: 

- Note:- There is no provision of Negative Marking.

• The lower age limit is 25 years and the upper age limit is 27 years.

- Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination with 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and 50% marks in English.

- Medical Fitness certificate approved by the Director-General of Shipping is mandatory to produce.

- Candidate must possess a valid Passport.

IMU CET (Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test) Application Process

The application form can be filled in Online mode. Candidates desirous to apply for the test can apply in Online mode from the official website. Following are the steps to apply that must be followed while filling the form:

• Registration: Candidates are required to visit the website and register themselves for the test. In this process, some basic information is asked. After providing these pieces of information candidates must click on the Register button.

• Verification: Once the registration button is clicked, an email is sent on the provided i.d to verify. The registration process is completed only after verification.

• Application Form Filling: After verification, Candidates can fill the application form through their provided LoginI.d and Password. 

• Uploading Documents: In this step, candidates are asked to upload the scanned copies of their documents. The candidates must submit all the required documents.

• Payment of application fee: The last step is the payment and to apply successfully candidates must make the payment.
