Indian Institute of Craft and Design Entrance Test is also known as the IICD Entrance Test is conducted by Indian Institute of Crafts and Design (IICD). It is a university level examination that is held once in a year for admission of candidates in  Indian Institute of Crafts and Design (IICD) for various Integrated, Undergraduate and Postgraduate level courses. IICD Entrance Test is conducted in Offline mode for each of these courses separately.

Conducting Body: The Indian Institute of Crafts and Design (IICD) conducts the Indian Institute of Craft and Design Entrance Test annually for admissions to the various Integrated, Graduate and Masters level courses across the country.  The following mentioned detail is regarding the Design(UG) Program.

Selection Procedure: There are two stages in the IICD Entrance Test for candidates to qualify for admission:

• Objective Test

• Personal Interview

For B.Des:

Exam Pattern: The examination is conducted in Offline mode and contains Objective Type questions. The question paper comprises two sections namely General Awareness, Creativity & Perception Test and Material, Color & Conceptual Test. The total time duration of the examination is 03 hours for each section. The following table explains the paper pattern in detail:-

- Personal Interview: The shortlisted candidates from the Written Test are called for the Personal Interview round and the weightage of the PI round is 20%. The interviewer evaluates the candidates on the following skills:

• Aptitude to crafts

• Communication skills

• IQ (Intelligence quotient)

• General awareness regarding Crafts and Design

• Personal achievements (Academics and Extracurricular activities).

• 10+2 in any stream from any recognized board.

• Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam are also eligible to apply provided the documents must be presented whenever asked.

The application form can be filled in Online mode. Candidates desirous to apply for the test can apply in Online mode from the official website. Following are the steps to apply that must be followed while filling the form:

• Registration: Candidates are required to visit the website and register themselves for the test. In this process, some basic information is asked. After providing these pieces of information candidates must click on the Register button.

• Verification: Once the registration button is clicked, an email is sent on the provided i.d to verify. The registration process is completed only after verification.

• Application Form Filling: After verification, Candidates can fill the application form through their provided LoginI.d and Password. 

• Uploading Documents: In this step, candidates are asked to upload the scanned copies of their documents. The candidates must submit all the required documents. (Photograph, Class 10 Certificate and Photo ID - 4 MB)

• Payment of application fee: The last step is the payment and to apply successfully candidates must make the payment.
