The Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry (JELET) is organized by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board. It is the main step for taking admissions into Lateral Entry programmes offered by Government, Self-Financing Institutes and Universities in West Bengal state. The entrance exam is conducted annually for candidates to get admissions into various programs such as Pharmacy/Engineering/Technology under Lateral Entry scheme.

The admission is granted to the candidates after they qualify the following shortlisting round:-

Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry (JELET) Exam Pattern: 

The examination is conducted Offline. The time duration is 02 hours. The examination is conducted in the English language only. The total no. of questions are 100. The syllabus is based on the pattern prescribed by the PCI (Pharmacy Council of India). The detailed exam pattern is as follows:-

Note: There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry (JELET) Eligibility Criteria:

- Age Limit:- 

  • There is no upper age limit for the entrance test.

  • Candidates are also advised to refer to the website regarding the same.

- Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates holding a diploma in Pharmacy and desirous to apply for degree courses must have completed a diploma from Pharmacy institute as recognized by AICTE.

  • Minimum marks in the qualifying exam must be 45% marks.

- Nationality:

  • Candidates must be an Indian citizen.
