Overview
The Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry also known as JELET is organized by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board for admissions into Lateral Entry programs offered by Government, Self Financing Institutes and Universities in West Bengal state. Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry (JELET) Exam Pattern:
The examination is conducted in Offline mode. The total time duration of the exam is 02 hours. The examination is conducted in the English language only. The total no. of questions are 100. The syllabus is as prescribed by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education. The detailed exam pattern is as follows:-

Candidates holding a diploma in Engineering/Technology and desirous to apply for degree course must have completed a diploma from the institute as recognized by AICTE.

Candidates holding a B.Sc degree in Engineering/Technology and desirous to apply for Engineering/Technology course must have completed a degree from the university as recognized by UGC with Mathematics as a compulsory subject in 10+2.

Minimum marks in the qualifying exam must be 45% marks.
