Overview

LFAT  is also known as the Law Faculty Entrance Test is a national level entrance exam to grant candidates admission into a five-year integrated BA LLB (Hons) program offered by the Allahabad University. The exam is conducted at the national level as per the guidelines prescribed by the Bar Council of India (BCI).

Conducting Body: The Law Faculty Entrance Test (LFAT) is conducted by the Allahabad University at the national level.  The examination is conducted Offline, in pen-paper mode. Allahabad University conducts the LFAT exam, among other exams, annually for candidates from across the nation who are willing to join Law services.

Selection Procedure: The exam is conducted in one stage:

  • Written Exam

Exam pattern:- The examination is conducted in Offline mode. The total time duration of the examination is 2 hours and 30 minutes (150 minutes) and has 250 Objective type questions divided into 3 sections. The details of the exam pattern are as follows:-

Note:- There is a provision of negative marking. 1/3rd marks shall be deducted from Part I & II and 2/3rd from Part III for each wrong response.

Eligibility:

  • Age Limit: Age should not be more than 20 years(22 years for SC/ST candidates).
  • Educational Qualification: 10+2 with at least 45% marks in aggregate (42% for OBC and 40% for SC/ST applicants).

Ans. The application form is available online at the official website of the University of Allahabad and the candidate can obtain it once the registration process is completed.

Ans. Once the application is submitted  then the LFAT admit card can be downloaded from the official website one week prior to the exam.

Ques 3.How can candidates to pay the application fee?

Ans. By online via net banking, credit card/debit card and offline mode through eChallan.
