NID DAT Selection Procedure: - The selection procedure is divided into the following two phases:

NID DAT - Prelims.
-
NID DAT - Mains.
- NID DAT - Prelims: - The NID DAT (Preliminary) examination is a Written Aptitude Test of Design. The examination has both Objective and Subjective type questions. The preliminary examination is of 100 marks and is divided into 2 parts: Part I and Part II. The time duration of the exam is 3 hours.

- NID DAT - Mains: - The candidates shortlisted from the Preliminary examination are called for the Mains examination. The mains examination has the following two phases:

Studio Test: The studio test shall consist of questions which the applicants must solve in different format like sketching/drawing, model making, presentations, group discussions, etc. The time limit of the studio test is 3 hours and carries a maximum of 100 marks. The medium of instruction of the Mains examination is the English Language.

Personal Interview: The shortlisted candidates from the Studio Test are called for the Personal Interview round and the interview is held separately for each specialization after the studio test.
NID Design Aptitude Test (NID DAT)0- For GDPD (Graduate Diploma Programme in Design) Application Process:
To complete the NID DAT Application form, candidates need to enter their mobile no., email ID, Date of birth etc. To complete the NID DAT Application process, follow the given steps.
Step 1: Registration

Visit the official website and sign up

While completing the registration, enter a valid mobile no., email ID, Date of birth etc.

Check your registered mail id and note down the credentials i.e. the login ID and password.
Step 2: Fill the Application Form

Use the credentials and log in to the application window

Enter all the details and click ‘Save & Proceed’ to move towards the further step.
Step 3: Upload Documents
-
Upload your passport size photograph and signature. Remember it must be scanned.

Upload all other required certificates related to caste etc.

Finally hit on ‘Save & Proceed’ and proceed further to pay the application fees.

NID DAT Admit Card:
Prior to organizing the NID DAT examination, the authorities will issue the NID DAT hall ticket. Applied and eligible aspirants will be able to download their NID DAT admit card just by visiting the official website.
Candidates must note that the NID DAT Exam Admit Card will be available only at the official site of the board. Without the NID DAT admit card, no candidate will be permitted to enter the hall and appear in the exam.
NID DAT Result:
After conducting the examination, the exam authorities will release the NID DAT Exam merit list cut off and scorecard as well. Admission of candidates will purely be done on the basis of their performance in the examination.
