Overview

NEE or NERIST Entrance Examination is organized by NERIST (North Eastern Regional Institute of Science And Technology) for admissions into the various streams of B.Tech program. The entrance examination is conducted at different centers across the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura. 

NERIST have 3 different levels of exams i.e. NEE-I, NEE-II, and NEE-III for different parts i.e. Certificate, Diploma and Degree parts of Technology Stream and 4 years Degree in Forestry.

NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) Eligibility Criteria:

- NEE 1:

  • Candidate must have passed class 10th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

  • The age of the candidates must be a minimum of 19 years.

- NEE 2:

  • Candidates must have passed class 12th examinations with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects.

  • The age of the candidates must be 23 years. The university gives 3 years relaxation to candidates belonging to OBC Category and 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ ST category.

- NEE 3 (Engineering Courses):

  • Candidates with a Diploma in specialization course are eligible to apply, must have a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or CGPA of 6.0 is attained successfully.

  • Candidate Age must be 40 years.

NERIST NEE exam is Computer-based exam and selection of the candidate is done on merit basis as per the Institute regulations under various reservation categories.
