• Must have completed 1-year internship training (rotatory).

• Must be registered with State/ Central Medical Registration Council.

Selection Procedure: There is only one stage in the PGIMER exam for candidates to qualify for admissions:

• Objective Test

Exam Pattern: The examination is conducted in Online mode and contains Objective type questions. The question paper consists of 250 MCQ type questions and the language of the exam is English. The total time duration of the examination is 03 hours. The following table explains the paper pattern in detail:

Note: There is a provision of Negative Marking.

Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research Entrance Examination (PGIMER) Application Process

The application form can be filled in Online mode. Candidates desirous to apply for the test can apply in Online mode from the official website. Following are the steps to apply that must be followed while filling the form:

• Registration: Candidates are required to visit the website and register themselves for the test. In this process, some basic information is asked. After providing these pieces of information candidates must click on the Register button.

• Verification: Once the registration button is clicked, an email is sent on the provided i.d to verify. The registration process is completed only after verification.

• Application Form Filling: After verification, Candidates can fill the application form through their provided LoginI.d and Password. 

• Uploading Documents: In this step, candidates are asked to upload the scanned copies of their documents. The candidates must submit all the required documents (Photograph and Signature).

• Payment of application fee: The last step is the payment and to apply successfully candidates must make the payment.
