Overview
Punjab University administers PULEET for admission to lateral/direct entrance to the second year of various engineering courses given by Panjab University. Panjab University gives lateral entry chiefly in 4 disciplines of engineering programs.
Conducting Body: Panjab University is an esteemed public university located in Chandigarh, India. It was founded in the year 1882 as the University of Punjab in Lahore but was re-established in 1947 after the separation of India, where the university was divided between Pakistan and India.

Selection Process: The selection procedure is given below:

Exam Pattern: The mode of the examination is offline and the questions are objective type. The medium of the examination is English and the number of questions are 75. The time duration of the exam is 90 minutes.

Eligibility Criteria:
The lateral entrance from Diploma to 2nd year of 4-year B.E. degree level will subject to the subsequent conditions:

The applicant must have passed a diploma in Engineering of the minimum 3- year term after Matriculation Examination with Physics and Mathematics, from polytechnic college/institute affiliated with the state board of Technical Education/University, or recognized by UGC/AICTE.

Also, the candidate must have obtained 60% (55% for SC/ST/BC/PwD) marks as an aggregate in the Diploma Course as required by AICTE.

The candidate must have passed a diploma in the engineering of a minimum 2- year duration after 10 + 2 from Polytechnic college/institute affiliated with the state board of technical education/university, or recognized by UGC/AICTE. Besides, the candidate must have obtained 60% (55% for SC/ST/BC/PwD) marks as an aggregate in the Diploma Course as required by AICTE.

Candidate must have passed their qualifying examination i.e. Diploma in Engineering not earlier than 2016.

Admission would be made based on merit obtained in the Entrance Examination to be conducted by the Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Candidates having reappeared or compartment in diploma in engineering is not eligible for admission in the course even though he/she clears the reappear or compartment by the time of counseling.

Candidates seeking admission against any of the reserved seats required to submit a Certificate regarding their category in the prescribed form duly issued and signed by the concerned authority of the State. The admission of the candidate against reserved seats will be provisional subject to verification of his/her certificate from the issuing authority.

If at any time after inquiry it is proved that the student has got the benefit by misrepresentation of facts or submitting false documents, his / her candidature shall be deemed to have been cancelled.

The Institute follows the reservation policy of the Chandigarh Administration issued from time to time.

The minimum age limit is 17 years of age to apply for the entrance exam. There is no upper limit for a candidate to give the exam.
