Overview

Smart Kid General Knowledge Olympiad also known as SKGKO is a competition for students from class 1 to class 12 to test their general knowledge abilities in subjects such as Geography, History, General Science, Current affairs, Sport etc. SKGKO promotes GK from school to  National and International level by recognizing their merits. The olympiad tests the proficiency and competence of students in various subjects to face day to day problems and the syllabus is as prescribed by State Boards/CBSE/ ICSE.

Smart Kid General Knowledge Olympiad (SKGKO) Conducting Body:

The SilverZone Foundation conducts the Smart Kid General Knowledge Olympiad (SKGKO) to test and promote the knowledge of students so that they can analyse and understand the situation better. The SKGKO is one of the many olympiads conducted by SilverZone Foundation such as International Olympiad of Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, English Language, French language and Reasoning & Aptitude Olympiad. It is conducted once in a year.

Smart Kid General Knowledge Olympiad (SKGKO) Selection Procedure: The olympiad is conducted in three levels:-

  • Level 1

  • Level 2

  • Level 3

Smart Kid General Knowledge Olympiad (SKGKO) Exam Pattern:

The examination is conducted in Offline mode. The total time duration is 01 hour (60 minutes) for the exam. The exam is conducted in English language. The questions are objective type and consist of three sections namely General Awareness, Current Affairs and Scholar's zone. The examination is suitable for students studying through State Board/  CBSE/ ICSE/ ISC. The detailed exam pattern is as follows:-

LEVEL 1:- All the students from classes 1st to 10th desirous to appear are eligible to take part in Level 1. The test for level 1 is conducted at schools only.

Note:

  • There is no negative marking.

  • Students studying in class 3rd and onwards are provided with OMR sheets for the test.

LEVEL 2:- 

  • Students ranking among top 1000 from each class in first level compete in this level for the top position and the required marks to appear in this level is minimum 50% marks.

  • Students scoring 1st rank in their class having marks more than 75% in level 1 are also eligible for Level 2. This rule applies to the school from where more than 100 students participate for the test.

  • Level 2 is conducted at national level but the examination is held at candidate's city/state.

LEVEL 3:-

  • Students studying from 6th to 12th class scoring 1st rank in level 2 are eligible for 3rd level

  • Level 3 is conducted at New Delhi, India.

  • The is no age limit to appear for the test.

- Educational Criteria:

  • Students from class 1st to class 10th are eligible for the test.

Ques 1. How can a candidate apply for the SKGKO?

Ans. Candidates can apply offline only for the exam thorugh their school provided their school are registered with Silverzone Foundation. Individual participation of any student is not allowed for the exam.

Ques 2. I made a mistake while filling up the application form. Can I fill it again?

Ans. Once the application submission process is done and the fee is paid no changes could be made so candidates are advised to fill the form wisely,

Ques 3. Is registration mandatory to apply for exam?

Ans. The school, whose students are desirous to appear for the test, must be registered with Silverzone Foundation. No individual registration is required.

Ques 4. Can a candidate edit application form after submission?

Ans. No, it can't be done once the form is submitted and application fee is paid.

Ques 5. Does SKGKO send the admit card to communication address which is mentioned on the application form?

Ans. The admit cards can be downloaded from the official website of Silverzone.

Ques 6. Is there any percentage requirement to apply for the test?

Ans. No, there is no such requirement.

Ques 7. Is there negative marking in the exam?

Ans. There is no negative marking in the exam.

Ques 8. Is SKGKO exam conducted online or offline?

Ans. The exam is conducted in Offline mode..

Ques 9. Which category is exempted from payment of examination fee?

Ans. There is no provision of fee exemption for any category

Ques 10. In what mode the application fee can be paid?

Ans. The application fee can be paid through NEFT or Demand Draft.

Ques 11. Does SKGKO exam has sectional cut offs?

Ans. No, there is no sectional cutoff in the exam.

Ques 12. How long does it take for results to be announced?

Ans. The results are announced on official website after releasing the answer key.
