Overview

Earlier known as SET Law, Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) is an entrance exam held by the Symbiosis International (Deemed)University. SIU provides admissions into the five-year integrated law courses i.e. BA LLB (Hons) and BBA LLB (Hons) and the courses are offered at four law schools of SIU i.e. Symbiosis Law School (SLS) Pune, SLS Hyderabad, SLS Noida and SLS Nagpur (new campus). The SLAT is conducted annually.

Conducting Body: Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) is conducted by the Symbiosis International University for admissions into law programs (BBA LLB, BA LLB) in the 3 campuses of the SIU university. The examination is conducted in Online mode.

Important Dates:

Selection Procedure: The selection procedure is done through the following stages:

• Written Test

• Selection Round (PI-WAT/ SI- PI)

Exam pattern:-

- Written Test:- SLAT examination is conducted for admissions to the UG level courses. The total time duration of the examination is 2 and a half hours (150 minutes) and has 150 objective type questions divided into 5 sections. The format of the examination is as follows:-

Note:- There is no provision of negative marking.

Selection Round (PI-WAT):-

• The candidates shortlisted after the declaration of the written test results are called for the PI-WAT round. The shortlisted candidates must book a slot online for the PI-WAT round the payment must be paid to complete the process to download the PI-WAT letter.

• In the next step, the candidates have to report to the center along with the requisite documents specified in the PI-WAT letter.

• Personal Interview:- The personal interview of the candidates is conducted by academic experts.

• Written Ability Test:- Following the personal interview, the candidates are given a topic to write an essay.

• The total marks allotted for the PI-WAT round are 50 marks.

Final Selection:

The final selection is done after preparing the merit list by the individual institutes. The merit list is prepared based on the following formula:-
