Overview
Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) organizes a fellowship entrance exam to select candidates for admissions in P.hD. and Integrated M.Sc P.hD. Programs. Applications are invited from Indian Nationals for the Joint Graduation Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS). Candidates having a Graduation/ Postgraduation are eligible to appear in this exam. Candidates can apply offline for the exam.
Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) Entrance Exam Conducting Body:
The JGEEBILS is a national level fellowship exam conducted by the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Government of India. The exam is conducted in offline mode and the candidates who wish to appear for the exam must qualify the Offline exam. The exam is conducted once in a year.

The selection of the candidates purely depends on merit which is based on the performance in the above-mentioned rounds.
Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) Entrance Exam Pattern:
The exam is conducted in offline mode. The questions are objective type and the total time duration for the exam is 01 hour 30 minutes. The questions consist of General Science, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General English, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The total no. of questions are 60 and each question carries 1 mark.

Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria:

Age limit: The upper age limit is 28 years. For Reserved Category, the relaxation is given as per govt. rules and regulations.

Educational Qualification: Candidates having minimum 50% marks in aggregate in Grdauation/ Postgraduate from a recognized university are eligible to apply. The marks relaxation to Reserved Category is given as per govt. rules and regulations.
