West Bengal Civil Services (WBCS) Exam Pattern:
Preliminary Exam:- The preliminary examination is of qualifying nature and is conducted offline. There is only One Paper in the prelims examination which consists of 8 sections of Objective type questions, having 25 questions of 1 mark each. The total time duration of the examination is two hours. The examination pattern of the preliminary examination is as follows:-

Mains examination has papers of Objective as well as of Descriptive nature. There are 7 papers in the Mains Examination. The first two papers are on Languages.
