Overview

The Faculty of Economics of the University of Pécs has a very successful period behind it in the double dean's cycle between 2015-2022. The measures and management tools leading to the maintenance and further increase of success are basically determined by the model change that took place in 2021, which will be incorporated into the daily operation of PTE in the new dean's cycle starting in 2022. At the moment, everything seems to be given for the Faculty to be able to adapt to more predictable conditions than before, to operate within a more secure budget framework than before, to be able to continue to be its own boss and to provide high-quality work to its colleagues motivated by financial appreciation and advancement opportunities. through your work, aim for and reach ever higher levels than before. The new management established in the summer of 2022, led by Dean Dr. András Takács, began its work along the following vision, mission, and objectives.

Our vision is an inspiring, global community of economic professionals, as well as people and organizations receptive and interested in the field of science, whose members are dedicated to promoting local, regional economic, and social development. 

MISSION 

The training of excellent, solution-oriented, responsible business professionals to promote the sustainable development of the local and wider environment. To this end, we provide quality education and training, as a result of which we provide prepared students and employees to the labor market, and based on cooperation, we develop our own knowledge and competencies, even with the involvement of external actors.
