Overview
Bihar Polytechnic Entrance Exam is also known as Diploma Certificate Entrance Competitive Examination (DCECE). It is organized by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECE Board). The DCECE is providing admissions to shortlisted applicants into various Polytechnic courses in the field of Engineering, Pharmacy, Office Management, Paramedical. The shortlisted applicants are offered seats by the various Government and Non Government Polytechnic Institutions in Bihar.

Bihar Polytechnic Entrance Exam pattern:
The exam is conducted in Offline (Pen paper based) mode and the questions are Objective type. The language of the exam is English and Hindi. The total time duration is 2 hours 15 minutes. The total no. of questions are 90 and there is no negative marking. The detailed pattern is given below:

Bihar Polytechnic Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria:
The Diploma Certificate Entrance Competitive Examination (DCECE ) Bihar Polytechnic Eligibility criteria is different for various courses. The details are mentioned below:
- Nationality or Residence:

The candidates must be a permanent resident of Bihar state.

The candidates must be Indian Citizens.
- Educational Qualification Criteria:

Candidates appearing for the 10th Board can apply for this exam.
- Polytechnic Engineering (PE):
-
Exam: Passed 10th or its equivalent examination with a minimum of 35% marks.

Age Limit: No age limit.
- Part-Time Polytechnic Engineering (PPE):
-
Exam: Passed 10th or its equivalent exam with 2 years ITI course or Passed 10th or its equivalent exam with experience of 2 years.

Age Limit: The age limit is to be19 years.
- Para Medical-Dental (PMD-10th level):

Exam: Passed 10th or its equivalent exam from ICSE /CBSE and recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subjects.

Age Limit: The age limit must be Minimum 15 years & Maximum30 years.
- Para Medical Intermediate Level (PM-12th level):

Exam: Passed 12th or its equivalent exam from PCB /PCM and English subject.

Age Limit: The age limit must be Minimum 17 years & Maximum 32 years.
