Overview

On October 1, 2004, the former IDBI was transformed into a banking company – IDBI Ltd. - to undertake the entire range of banking activities while continuing to play its secular DFI role. Industrial Development Bank of India or IDBI Bank provides Credit and other Financial Facilities for the development of the fledgling Indian industry. It is the Principal Financial Institution for coordinating the activities of institutions engaged in Financing, Promoting and Developing industry in India and is owned by the Government of India.

The IDBI conducts the IDBI Assistant Manager exam to recruit young professionals annually.  The selection of candidates will comprise of Online Test followed by personal interview of qualified candidates. Log on to the official website to apply online or to check other important details.

IDBI Assistant Manager Exam Selection Procedure:-

The IDBI Assistant Manager exam is held in two-stage:

  • Online test

  • Interview

IDBI Assistant Manager Exam- Exam Pattern:

Online Test:- It is an Online Test. The total questions are 200 and the total marks are 200. The duration is 2 hours to complete the exam. The exam is Objective and Multiple Choice Type. 

IDBI Assistant Manager Exam Eligibility Criteria:

Age: Candidate's age must be minimum 21 years and maximum 28 years.

Educational Qualifications:  Graduate from any discipline from a recognised university with minimum 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/PWDcandidates).

Ques 2. What are the age guidelines to apply for the IDBI Assistant Manager recruitment exam?

Ans. Minimum Age: 21 years, Maximum Age: 28 years, as on 01.03.2019 i.e., he/she must have been born not earlier than 02.03.1991 and no later than 01.03.1998 (both days are inclusive).

Ques 3. What are the reservation criteria for OBC, ST, SC, and EWS (economically weaker sections)?

Ques 4. I am a BCom graduate with 56.7% marks. I belong to SC category. Am I eligible?

Ans. Yes, you are eligible as the education criteria is that a candidate should be a graduate from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks and 55% for SC.ST/PWD.

Ans. Yes, there are separate vacancies for EWS quota.

Ques 6. Is the IDBI Assistant Manager exam bilingual?

Ans. Yes, except for the English and Hindi section, the exam is bilingual.

Ques 7. I am in my final year. Can I apply for the Exam?

Ans. Those students who are in their final year graduation/semester may also apply, provided that if they are called for the interview they will have to produce the proof of passing the graduation exam. 

Ques 8. How many times can I apply for the IDBI Assistant Manager exam?

Ans. There is no restriction of a minimum or a maximum number of attempts. The candidate should fulfill the eligibility criteria. 

Ques 9. Can I apply for both IDBI Executive and Assistant Manager Exam?

Ans. Yes, you can apply for both the exams.

Ques 10. Is there any section cut-off in IDBI Assistant Manager and Executive exam?

Ans. There is nothing mentioned about the section cut-off in the official notification. 

Ques 11. Is there any negative marking?

Ans. Yes, there is a penalty of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
