Manipur Teacher Eligibility Test is organized by Board of Secondary Education,Manipur. The purpose of this exam is to hire eligible applicants for the posts of teacher for classes 1 to 8 in govt/private schools in the state of Manipur. Manipur Teacher Eligibility Test Selection Procedure:
Candidates will be shortlisted from the score secured in the Manipur TET 2019. The final list is prepared based on the category wise cut off marks.Multiple choice type questions are ask in the exam. Every question is for 1 mark and there is no negative marking. There are two papers in the exam i.e. Paper I and Paper II in which 150 questions are asked.Candidates have to complete the exam in 1 and a half hours.

Manipur Teacher Eligibility Test Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
The candidates should pass the upper Secondary examination with at least 50 marks.
The relaxation of 45 marks if the applicants belong to a reserved class.
1.Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum 50% score and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED)
OR
2.Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum 50% result and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.ED).
OR
3. Senior Secondary / Higher Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum 50% score and having a Diploma in Education (Special Education), approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India(RCI).
OR
4. 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED) or Graduation.
Age Criteria: Candidates should be at least 18 to a maximum of 30 years.

Child Development Pedagogy: Child Development (Primary School Children): Understanding Children with the special needs, Concept of Inclusive Education and Learning Pedagogy
Mathematics: Shapes,Numbers Algebra, Mensuration, Geometry, Arithmetic, and Spatial Understanding
Language I: Perception-based questions for language development
Language II (English): Understanding based question in English and advancement of language
Social Sciences/Social Studies: History, Political &Social Life Geography, etc
Environmental Studies: Habitats,Water,Natural Resources, Solar System, Air, Parts of Body, Food Resource and Care, Our Surroundings

Ques 3. I have a B.Sc in Botany degree with B.Ed. Am I eligible for the Manipur TET?
Ans. Yes, you are eligible. Candidate with B.A / B.Sc Graduation with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or showing in a 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) are eligible for the exam.
Ques 4. I have done a diploma in elementary education so I eligible for secondary teacher exam?
Ans: Yes you are eligible. The candidates who has Senior Secondary / Higher Secondary (or it's equivalent 10+2) with a minimum of 50% marks and has finished a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.ED) can apply.
Ques 5. What are the minimum marks to qualify?
Ans. The criteria for considering pass in Manipur TET is as follows:
a) OC 60% Marks and above
b) BC 50% Marks and above
c) SC 40% Marks and above
d) ST 40% Marks and above
e) Differently-abled (PH) 40% Marks and above
Ques 6. What type of question can I expect in the Paper-II of the Manipur TET exam?
Ans: The questions in the tests for Paper II will be based on the subjects of the prescribed syllabus of the Manipur State for classes VI-VIII but the difficulty standard could be up to the senior secondary stage.
Ques 7. Is a B.Com B.Ed applicants eligible for the Manipur TET?
Ans: If you have 4 years of Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.ED) degree than you are eligible for Manipur TET.
Ques 8. If I clear Manipur TET and still in my final year of Bachelor's Degree, am I eligible to apply?
Ans: Candidates who are appearing in the final year of Bachelor's Degree in Education or Diploma in Elementary Education etc. are temporarily admitted and their Manipur TET Certificate shall be confirmed only on passing the aforesaid Examinations.
Ques 9. I have completed B. Sc Microbiology, am I eligible?
Ans. To be eligible for the course, it is expected that along with the graduation, the candidate must have done a teaching course. Thus, you are not eligible.
Ques 10. Can a BCA applicant apply for Manipur TET?
Ans. No, besides graduation, the candidates must also have done B.Ed/B.El.Ed from a recognized university.
