Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation(TANGEDCO) is conducting an assistant engineer civil and electrical competitive exam to recruit male and female candidates for the Assistant Engineer posts. This is a great opportunity for interested Candidates who want to join the TANGEDCO. Civil, Electrical BE/Tech/AMIE  passed are eligible for appearing in the TANGEDCO AE posts exam. Candidates have to apply online for this exam on the official website. Candidates will have to qualify a written exam based on degree standard(Electrical and Civil).

Conducting Body: The TANGEDCO AE posts is a State level recruitment exam conducted by Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation in offline mode. This exam is written based on objective type, those candidates who wish to appear and enter for these posts will have to qualify the offline exam. The exam is conducted once every two years.

The application form can be filled in Online mode only. Candidates desirous to apply for the test can apply in Online mode from the official website. Following are the steps to apply that must be followed while filling the form:

• Registration: Candidates are required to visit the website and register themselves for the test. In this process, some basic information are asked. After providing this information candidates must click on the Register button.

• Verification: Once the registration button is clicked, an email is sent on the provided i.d to verify. The registration process is completed only after verification.

• Application Form Filling: After verification, Candidates can fill the application form through their provided LoginI.d and Password. 

• Uploading Documents: In this step, candidates are asked to upload the scanned copies of their documents. The candidates must submit all the required documents.

The TANGEDCO releases the admit cards for the exam in Online mode. The link of the admit cards are sent to the registered emails and mobile numbers of the candidates.The admit card is a mandatory document for the test and the candidate must carry it to the exam center along with an I.D proof such as Driving License, Voter Card, PAN Card, Aadhar Card.
