The exam is conducted in offline mode. The questions are objective type. The paper is divided into two parts: Part 1 & Part 2 and the total time duration for the exam is 05 hoursPart 1 consists of Technical Knowledge 150 questions relevant to the applied stream and Part 2 consists of General Studies 100 questions

Note: There is a negative marking. 0.25 marks from the total allotted marks to each question gets deducted for the wrong answer. 

Interview: The candidates, after qualifying the written exam, get invited for the interview. The interview is of 70 marks and is held at TNPSC headquarters. 

TNPSC Combined Engineering Services Officer Exam Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age limit: The age limit is 21 years to 39 years as per their class 10th. The age relaxation to the SC/ST/OBC candidates is given as per government rules.

  • Educational Qualification: Candidates having minimum 50% marks in aggregate in Graduation/ Degree in Engineering from a recognized university/ institute are eligible to apply.

Ans. The annual calendar of examinations of the Commission for the next year is generally uploaded in the month of September/ October of the current year on the TNPSC website.
