Overview

The United World Institute of Design Aptitude Test also known as the UID Aptitude Test is a way for aspirants to get shortlisted for admission in various Undergraduate and Postgraduate Design programmes offered at the United World Institute of Design. UID is considered one of the top design institutes of India and conducts the entrance exam once in a year.

Conducting Body: The United World Institute of Design conducts the UID Aptitude Test at the university level for admissions into various programs offered by the institute. The entrance exam is conducted in Offline mode.

Selection Procedure:- The selection procedure is divided into the following two phases:  

• Design Aptitude Test (DAT)

• Situation Test & Portfolio

- UID DAT - Prelims:- The entrance exam is an Offline (pen paper-based) test. The written test is divided into 4 sections. The total time duration of the examination is 02 hours 30 minutes.

- Part 2:- The candidates shortlisted from the written examination are called for the second round. The second round has the following two phases:

• Situation Test: Students are asked to make models on the given situation based on which they have to make models. They are also given some questions in which they have to sketch an answer.

• Personal Interview: The shortlisted candidates from the Studio Test are called for the Personal Interview round.

Eligibility:

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent from any recognized board in any stream with aggregate 50% marks. 

• Age Limit: There is no age limit. Candidates are also advised to refer to the website regarding the same.

UID Design Aptitude Test Application Process

The application form can be filled in Online as well as Offline mode. Candidates desirous to apply for the test can apply in Online mode from the official website. Following are the steps to apply that must be followed while filling the form:

• Registration: Candidates are required to visit the website and register themselves for the test. In this process, some basic information is asked. After providing these pieces of information candidates must click on the Register button.

• Application Form Filling: After registration, Candidates can fill the application form through their provided Login I.d and Password. 

• Uploading Documents: In this step, candidates are asked to upload the scanned copies of their documents. The candidates must submit all the required documents.

• Payment of application fee: The last step is the payment and to apply successfully candidates must make the payment. 

To apply form in offline mode, candidates can get the form from the official website (print out) and they must fill it in their own handwriting.
