The Asian Development Bank will grant funding to ensure over 260,000 Afghan children, out of which 60% are girls, can take part in community-based education classes in rural regions.

The funding will also make sure that the people have sufficient food and other help to sustain health and education services.

Through this funding, UNICEF aims to strengthen 10,000 community-based study classes.

The professional development programmes will also be provided by the UN Agency to 10,000 community-based educators to further the development of female secondary school teachers. The Agency will also provide textbooks, stationery, and other learning materials to 785,000 public school first-graders.
