A writ petition on behalf of school students has been filed in the Supreme Court protesting against the decision to conduct offline exams. Several students have been demanding the various boards to cancel offline exams and reconsider internal assessments and improvement tests.

Earlier, the NIOS, CBSE, ICSE, and several other state education boards released their schedule and informed to conduct offline exams.

Anubha Shrivastava Sahai, an advocate and child rights activist, has filed the plea along with the Odisha's Student Union NYCS as the 2nd petitioner. Thousands of students have signed Google forms regarding their protest.
