Education Budget 2023-24: Total Allocation For HE Increased By 8%

The Centre has allocated a total of Rs 1,12,899.47 lakh crore for Education. This raises the projected expenditure on higher education by 8% as compared to funds allocated in 2022-23.



The Department of School Education and Literacy has been allocated a total of 68,804.85 crore in FY2023-24 which has been increased by 16.51% as compared to FY 2022-23. Whereas the HE Department has been allocated a total of Rs. 44,094.62 crore (8% increase).




#Budget2023: There has been an overall increase of Rs. 9752.07 cr in the budget allocation of @DselEduMinistry in the FY 2023-24 from FY 2022-23.
