Google gifted the funding of $250,000 to George Mason University for equity-focused computing education. The University will use the funding for the College of Education and Human Development and the College of Engineering and Computing, divided equally between the two.

The CEC Associate Dean and Chief Diversity Officer Christopher Carr appreciated the generous gift and said, "Technology involves the tools of the future. These funds dedicated to creating a more inclusive education in technology help ensure that our future will be represented by the collective best of us".
