Narsee Monjee states the UGC ban: 'This does not apply to our offline programs.'
While the commission has warned students not to enroll in any online, open, or distance learning courses, the NMIMS announced in a statement that the UGC mandate is not applicable.

A day after the University Grants Commission (UGC) announced that the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) has been barred from offering open and distance learning and online programs for the January-February 2023, July-August 2023, and January-February 2024 sessions, the institute stated that they are "in the process of examining the notice and working with all concerned to address the problem and find a solution at the institute."
