UGC Urges Universities To Conduct Lectures On Loktantra Traditions

The University Grants Commission has urged the colleges and universities to conduct lectures on Loktantra traditions to celebrate India as the 'Mother of Democracy' on the occasion of Constitution Day on Nov 26. The lectures will be held on themes such as khap panchayats and their “democratic traditions” and the “ideal king” in Indian philosophy.
UGC Chairperson Kumar has also urged all Governors to “encourage” universities and colleges in their states to conduct these lectures.
